o is the long o-sound
o as in habò 'canoe' is the short o-sound, as in French modérer.
Jaman 'father'; vocative: man. But when I call Lai's father I say: Lai jaman. Reinan 'mother'; vocative: nan. But when I call Watjaar's mother I say: Watjaar reinan. The adjective always follows the noun. A noun which qualifies another sometimes precedes it; sometimes it can either precede or follow it.
